I have run across my share of people like this, both men and women and I cannot stress enough how important it is for people to be aware of the techniques they use to that they don’t become victims. The real secret to manipulation is that it is done so underhandedly that many people don’t notice it and even when the game is over and they are feeling the repercussions, they still ask themselves what or how it happened. This kind of information will hopefully set things right and allow people to be more aware. I cannot agree with this post more. I agree with you that about how manipulators exploit other people’s feelings – it may be unthinkable for someone like me to do, but many others do not have any qualms about it.
