They just get bored and then they do whatever gets into their heads, regardless of the consequences. But when it comes to a point where things get to hairy, they have no choice but to face the music eventually. They cannot escape forever. And when the time comes where they are suddenly burdened by the consequences of their actions, they really have no one to blame because it was all their fault.
