Can You Trust Your PI Outfit?

Can You Trust Your PI Outfit? We here at Thailand Investigations have, on several instances, had clients who had previously hired a private investigation agency before, but were extremely dissatisfied with the way the agency handled the case. When it comes to paying up, these agencies would be great in sending billing and following up payments, but their handling of the case itself would be sloppy, to say the least. When it’s the client’s turn to follow up on the status of the case, he or she only gets vague reports, flimsy explanations and empty promises.

.

It is a very unfortunate fact that Thailand has no law or requirement for private investigation agencies and private investigators to have a license, one can simple set up shop and call his business a “private investigation agency” and call himself a “private investigator”. But the sad truth is that many of these people have absolutely no idea how to conduct a proper investigation, much less have any investigation skills and the necessary equipment and expertise needed in handling a case. Many also assume that a couple of contacts are all they need to put up a PI agency. This is a grossly wrong thing to assume – not only is the reputation of legitimate, skilled and dedicated agencies ruined, but it is also a great disservice to the clients that are unfortunate enough to enlist their “services”.

.

It is a very basic fact of the business that the private investigation business is a business built on trust. Clients come in and give away sensitive information, as well as hard earned money, to an agency to help them solve a particular problem. It may be finding a missing relative, catching a cheating spouse or girlfriend, doing background checks on business partners, or any other related job. Clients are always the ones who take the first step by trusting the agency and take whoever they hire by their word alone, as there are no government standards or certifications they can turn to. So it is especially hard for clients to find out that they misplaced their trust plus dealing with the fact that their problem is still unsolved. It is paramount in choosing your private investigator that you are comfortable with him or her.

.

Many fake and fraudulent firms will also be more focused on the price and fee rather with the service they offer. They abuse your trust and bleed you for your money. Good PI outfits will discuss with you completely the scope of service and other details involved should you decide to enlist their services – this is a sign of honesty and trustworthiness that will translate into good results.

I have had an experience with these types of PI agencies. Actually they take this (Investigation agency) as a profit earning business. They start business but not have proper knowledge regarding this and clients are not satisfied for his task completed. Its hurt client trust and effects all investigation agencies. I think proper license are necessary because you have the responsibility to satisfy our clients and use proper techniques and approaches. They are just people who are out to take your money and to hell (excuse me) with your case. They just bleed you until you’re wise enough to know when to pull out.

I really got hooked by the low prices they offered. I said ‘they’ because I’ve been a victim of a hack agency more than once. Shame on me, I know. But price is really a big consideration with me, and I thought I was getting a great deal. This turned out to be a mistake, of course. I really wish I had stumbled on this blog earlier, and I probably would be spared all the trouble I had before. I really appreciate the fact that there are people like you who not only give good service to clients, but also gives great advice to all the people who come to this blog.

Baylon: thank you for passing by and leaving your thoughts. It is too bad that you were victimized by this type of scams and unscrupulous outfits. It is a sad fact that not having the requirement of a license for PI work means that anyone can be a private investigator even if they know squat about how to do the job.

Sullivan: thank you also for coming and sharing your opinions! Yes, prices are one of the main selling points of these agencies – they offer dirt cheap prices and fees, but well, all I can say is that with them, you get what you pay for. It’s important to look at the possible quality of output as well, not just the price.

I am personally really, really, irked by these false private investigation agencies that are sprouting up. I have encountered a number of them before and some were really just trying to reel me in with false claims! I mean I’m no policeman but even my common sense said they were pulling my leg. I’m glad I was able to find a good and reputable PI (you guys) and even though my case is still in the works, I am very happy with the way things are going and in the results I’ve been seeing from you guys so far. Thanks and keep up the good work!
